Providing a warm and holding environment to make lasting changes.
About Sarah GriesemerI am grounding. Warm. Loving. Accepting. And strong.
I can be your stability in a whirlwind. I can hold your pain even when you feel it will crush anyone you share it with. I have a strong passion for connecting deeply with people. My path in life is based upon my values of community, honestly, love, and connection. I am committed to doing the self work to understand my own racism and sexism. |
I hold a space for my clients free of judgement, free of stress, and free of needing "to be" anything in particular. Most of my clients want to feel less irritable and less anxious. They want a better relationship with their partner. They want deeper friendships.
These changes do happen. I have the joy of watching my clients make amazing changes to their lives.
Work with me to find more calm in your mind, and more love in your heart for the person you are now, while moving toward your goals.
Truth be told, I didn't always feel this stable.
My last career as an engineer left me feeling satisfied intellectually, but disconnected and empty. Through a series of lucky encounters, I found teachers who introduced me to mindful meditation practices, hatha yoga, and self-compassion practices. My own mindfulness and yoga practice helped me learn to love myself, and in doing so to connect deeply and lovingly to others. I completed hatha yoga teacher training in 2011 to further my skills and develop my work.
My passion is in depth work. Helping people stop patterns that have been transmitted from generation to generation is soul-satisfying work. To do this, I work from a relational and modern-psychoanalytic perspective. In other words, we work to understand how your current life has been shaped by your history, and in doing so, create room for new patterns and habits to emerge.
